check out the amazing workout plan created by
Cross-fit. A nationally known gym franchise that is
getting people off their couches and into looking
their best, Cross-fit truly has single-handedly made
a dent in the obesity that plagues the United
States.
If you want to start including Cross-fit into your life
but are shy about getting into the gym, or you
can't afford it, know that there are a few ways
that you can bring some of the amazingness of
Cross-fit into your own home. Though you won't
have the guidance and support that the Cross-fit
trainers and community provide, you will at least
be able to get your heart rate up and burn
calories at the same time.
Here are three workouts that you can easily do at
home:
Workout #1: Start out by doing a few stretches
and walking in place to warm up the muscles.
Then run a half mile. Finish up the half mile by
doing fifty pushups for three sets. When finished
with the pushups, run a quarter mile. Finish the
quarter mile up with fifty pull-ups for three sets.
Run another quarter mile, following it with fifty
box jumps for three sets. Run one mile and then
follow it with 100 pushups, 100 pull ups, 100
squats and then finish the entire set by sprinting
a mile. Cool down by walking a quarter mile.
Stretch to end the workout.
Workout #2: Begin by stretching for a few
minutes. Start the workout by running a quarter
mile and then doing five sets of pull ups to fatigue
(until you can't do anymore). Do three minutes of
high knees, running in place and then do three
sets of twenty-five dips. Follow that with doing
three sets of 25 core-intense sit ups. Return to
pull ups and increase your weight by adding
ankle weights. Do three sets of fifteen with the
weights. Finish off by running a half mile. Stretch
to finish workout.
Workout #3: To start this workout, begin by
stretching the major muscle groups for a few
minutes. Continue to warm the body by running
a half mile at three-quarters speed. When finished
do 100 Burpees, 100 pull ups, and 100 sit ups
and then run another half mile. After the run,
follow up with 150 Burpees, 150 pull ups and 150
sit ups. Run a mile. Finish the workout by doing
fifty squats with light weight, 5 minutes jumping
rope and then stretching.
